DERBY EQUESTRIANS’ CLUB, ONCE AUSTRALIA’S LARGEST, has won the Derby Equestria Championship after defeating St. Johnstone 1-0 on Saturday.

The Reds were the defending champions of the league in 2012-13, before the 2012-2013 season.
The Blues are still looking for their first title in six seasons and were eliminated from the competition in the previous season, with Derby finishing second.
The Saints have a history of success with their own Derby eques.
They finished in the top three in 2010-11, the same season the Reds finished as runner-ups.
The Rams won the title in 2012 and 2013, and have also been runners- up four times in the past five seasons.
The Derby season opens on Monday (AEST) with a two-legged tie at home against fellow Championship clubs Barnet and Ipswich.
