“The Warriors are doing well.
They are winning games,” said Warriors coach Brad Arthur, whose team has been knocked out of the NRL premiership and is just three wins away from the club’s first Grand Final.”
But it is hard to beat a side like that when you have lost a couple of your key players.”
Arthur was referring to centre Jarrod Croker, who was injured in the Warriors’ 32-24 loss to the Brisbane Broncos in round six.
Croker is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and has played just two games since, and he has been in the team’s concussion unit since round nine.
“It is hard for any player,” Arthur said.
“Jarrod Crocker has been out of it for a while, so I have been keeping a close eye on him.”
The Warriors’ next game is at the Sydney Roosters on Sunday night.
“There are two weeks until then.
We have got to find a way to get back into the NRL,” Arthur added.”
I am happy with our form so far, but we have got a few games left.”
Arthur said the club was focused on getting through the first three rounds of the competition before the World Club Series starts next weekend.
“We are getting our legs under us,” he said.
